Mitra Soltani

Mitra Soltani
Mitra Soltani is a Lead Principal Test & Reliability Engineer at Johnson & Johnson MedTech, with over 17 years of experience taking complex medical devices from concept to market. She was a key engineering force behind the globally recognized VERITAS Vision System — a next-generation cataract surgery platform — and currently leads development of next-generation phacoemulsification systems. With more than seven medical and commercial devices launched, Mitra specializes in embedded hardware design, reliability engineering, and the kind of early-stage systems thinking that prevents expensive late-stage failure. She is known for championing design for manufacturability, design for test, and assumption-register discipline at the earliest stages of development. Beyond MedTech, Mitra is the founder of Superstars of Tomorrow, an organization dedicated to developing the next generation of innovators and leaders. She is deeply invested in the intersection of AI and professional communication, building tools and frameworks that make technical teams faster and more effective. She holds three inventions and was a speaker, inventor, and judge at the International Kharazmi Festival — one of the world's oldest science and innovation competitions.
